     AN ORDINANCE

vacating a public alley between South Ninth Street and South Tenth Street, located between Locust Street and Elm Street; directing the City Clerk to have a copy of this ordinance recorded; and fixing the time when this ordinance shall become effective.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBIA, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:

    SECTION 1.    The City Council finds and determines that a certain public alley, more particularly described as follows:

A tract of land located in the northeast quarter of Section 13, Township 48 North, Range 13 West, Columbia, Boone County, Missouri, and being part of the Original Town of Columbia recorded in Plat Book A, Page 335, and being more particularly described as follows:

Beginning at the southwest corner of Tract 2 of the survey recorded in Book 2096, Page 19 of the Boone County Records; thence S0º57’ 45”E, 15.00 feet to the northwest corner of Tract 3 of said survey, thence along the north line of said tract N89º00’ 20”E, 240.05 feet to the northeast corner of said tract, thence N0º56’ 25”W, 15.00 feet to the southeast corner of Tract 2 of said survey; thence along the south line of said tract N89º00’ 20”W, 240.06 feet to the point of beginning and containing 3,600 square feet.

is in excess and surplus to the needs of the City and is hereby vacated.

    SECTION 2.    The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause a copy of this ordinance to be recorded in the office of the Recorder of Deeds of Boone County, Missouri.

    SECTION 3.    This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
