     AN ORDINANCE

vacating street, utility, drainage and temporary construction easements in conjunction with the proposed extension of Southampton Drive; directing the City Clerk to have a copy of this ordinance recorded; and fixing the time when this ordinance shall become effective.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBIA, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:

    SECTION 1.    The City Council finds and determines that certain street, utility, drainage and temporary construction easements, more particularly described as follows:

Nine (9) parcels of land being parts of the tract of land described in the Trustee’ s Deed in Book 729 at page 327 of the Boone County Records; situate in the northeast quarter of Section 36, Township 48 North, Range 13 West in the City of Columbia, Boone County, Missouri; said parcels being described in grants of easement from State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company to the City of Columbia, a municipal corporation, said easements being described as follows:

    1.    The street easement recorded in Book 2867 at page 43;
    2.    The utility easement recorded in Book 2867 at page 44;
    3.    The drainage easement recorded in Book 2867 at page 45;
    4.    The drainage easement recorded in Book 2867 at page 46;
    5.    The drainage easement recorded in Book 2867 at page 47;
    6.    The drainage easement recorded in Book 2867 at page 48
    7.    The drainage easement recorded in Book 2867 at page 49
8.    The drainage easement recorded in Book 2867 at page 50;     
9.    The unrecorded temporary construction easement granted 21 December 2005 containing 2.17 acres exclusive of permanent easement granted.

are in excess and surplus to the needs of the City and are hereby vacated.

    SECTION 2.    The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause a copy of this ordinance to be recorded in the office of the Recorder of Deeds of Boone County, Missouri.

    SECTION 3.    This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
