AN ORDINANCE
amending Chapter 14 of the City Code as it relates to recognized City holidays and
parking meter
enforcement; and fixing the time when this ordinance shall become effective.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBIA, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Chapter 14 of the Code
of Ordinances of the City of Columbia, Missouri, is
hereby amended as follows:

Sec. 14-1. Definitions.
The following words and phrases, when used in this chapter, shall have the meanings
respectively ascribed:

Holiday. For the purpose of this chapter, holidays shall be New Year's,
Martin Luther King, Jr., Memorial, Independence, Labor, Veterans’ , Thanksgiving
and
Christmas Days.

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be
in full force and effect from and after its passage.
