     AN ORDINANCE

authorizing the City Manager to execute service agreements with the Pednet Coalition, Inc. and Richard Mark Fenton relating to the Safe Routes to School Grant funded by the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission; and fixing the time when this ordinance shall become effective.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBIA, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:

    SECTION 1.    The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a service agreement with the Pednet Coalition, Inc. for Middle School Bike Safety and Ride programs at Gentry Middle School, Lange Middle School and Smithton Middle School.  The form and content of the agreement shall be substantially as set forth in "Exhibit A" attached hereto and made a part hereof as fully as if set forth herein verbatim.

    SECTION 2.    The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a service agreement with the Pednet Coalition, Inc. for a Walking School Bus School-Based Coordinators program at Derby Ridge Elementary School, Grant Elementary School, Parkade Elementary School, West Boulevard Elementary School, Shepard Boulevard Elementary School, Ridgeway Elementary School, Russell Boulevard Elementary School and Fairview Elementary School.  The form and content of the agreement shall be substantially as set forth in "Exhibit B" attached hereto and made a part hereof as fully as if set forth herein verbatim.

    SECTION 3.    The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a service agreement with Richard Mark Fenton for a design charette at Grant Elementary School.  The form and content of the agreement shall be substantially as set forth in "Exhibit C" attached hereto and made a part hereof as fully as if set forth herein verbatim.

    SECTION 4.    The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a service agreement with PedNet Coalition, Inc. for a design charette at Shepard Boulevard Elementary School.  The form and content of the agreement shall be substantially as set forth in "Exhibit D" attached hereto and made a part hereof as fully as if set forth herein verbatim.

    SECTION 5.    This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
