CITY COUNCIL MEETING - COLUMBIA, MISSOURI
OCTOBER 26, 2000

INTRODUCTORY
    The City Council of the City of Columbia, Missouri met for a special meeting at 5:30 p.m., on Thursday, October 26, 2000, in the Council Chamber of the City of Columbia, Missouri. The roll was taken with the following results: Council Members HINDMAN, JANKU, CROCKETT, and CAMPBELL were present. Members JOHN, COFFMAN, and CRAYTON were absent. The City Manager, City Counselor, Director of Finance and the Acting City Clerk were also present.
 

NEW BUSINESS
    The following bill was introduced by the Mayor and given first reading:

B352-00     Authorizing sewage system revenue bonds.
    Mr. Beck noted that this bill was being introduced at this time because of a deadline required by the state. He said there would be another special meeting next Thursday for the purpose of second and third reading on the bill.
    Ms. Fleming explained that this was authorized by the voters in 1997 as part of the nearly $19 million they approved for sanitary sewer projects. She said that $2.44 million will be used for additional wetlands.
    There being no further business, Mayor Hindman adjourned the meeting at 5:35 p.m.
