Chauffeur License

The Finance Department is responsible for the administration, direction, and coordination of all financial services of the City involving financial planning, budgeting, treasury management, investments, purchasing, accounting, payroll, business licensing, insurance, and utility customer services.

Each person driving a taxi or limousine for a company licensed within the City must obtain a Chauffeurs License. Application forms are available at the Business License Office, 725 East Broadway, Columbia, MO 65201. The license application fee is $10.00, and a criminal records check from the applicant's resident state will be obtained by the Business License Office upon completion of a “Disclosure and Authorization Form” by the applicant. The fee for a Missouri records check is $13.50. Please contact the Business License Office to obtain the fee for out of state records checks. Each chauffeur's license shall expire on the 30th day of June.
