The Finance Department is responsible for the administration, direction, and coordination of all financial services of the City involving financial planning, budgeting, treasury management, investments, purchasing, accounting, payroll, business licensing, insurance, and utility customer services.

Taxicab and Limousine Licenses
(Sections 28-77 through 28-121, Columbia Code of Ordinances)

Every taxi and limousine company in the City must obtain a Business License. Application forms may be obtained from the Business License Office, 725 East Broadway, Columbia, MO 65201. The application form must list each vehicle used in connection with the business, and each vehicle must be inspected by the Columbia Police Department and insured in accordance with State requirements. The fee is $15.00 for the first vehicle and $5.00 for each vehicle thereafter. A taxi sticker issued by the Business License Office shall be placed on the rear window of the vehicle. Licenses shall be in effect from the date of issuance until the following June 30.
