Risk Management

The Finance Department is responsible for the administration, direction, and coordination of all financial services of the City involving financial planning, budgeting, treasury management, investments, purchasing, accounting, payroll, business licensing, insurance, and utility customer services.

Risk Management Division

The Risk Management Division manages the self-insurance reserve fund which provides coverage for City's workers' compensation, as well as property and casualty claims. The Risk Manager, in conjunction with the City's Safety Committee, works to identify safety training needs and to establish consistent City-wide safety policies and procedures. Insurance coverage is reviewed in an effort to provide the City with the best protection at the most economical cost.
