The Columbia Fire Department is proud to provide at selected events in the community, "The BIG Flag", which measures 60 feet by 40 feet and is suspended by two Ladder trucks.
The flag is normally displayed across Broadway at 10th Street for the annual Salute to Veteran Memorial Day Parade, at Memorial Stadium for Independence Day, at the annual Partners in Education event in early May, and during other special events and dignitary visits.
In addition, the Columbia Fire Department has a smaller flag which measures 12 by 18 feet which can be displayed by a single ladder truck. This flag is displayed at events where space limitations or other factors prohibit the display of the BIG flag.
We are proud to support many community events with the display of the American flag and we hope you share our pride.
