The mission of the Columbia Fire Departments Explorer Post is to enable young men and women to become more aware of the fire fighting profession through interaction with firefighters, simulated emergency activities, and ongoing education. It is the belief that through these three main schools of thought, that young people involved in this program will become more aware of the many areas of interest in the fire and emergency services. While at the same time, bettering themselves to become more active and fruitful citizens in their communities as role models.
The Columbia Fire Department and The Columbia Professional Fire Fighters Association, would like to invite you to join The CFD Emergency Services Explorer Post. If you would like to learn about the fire service, go hiking, camping, make new friends, and have fun, You need to become an Explorer.
We currently have openings and are taking applications. If you are interested, come to our meetings. They are on the first and third Monday of each month at 6:00 PM, at Columbia Fire Department Station One, located at 201 Orr St. Or call us at 573-874-7391 for more info.
