It's been a long winter and with spring weather finally here, some progress is being made on Fire Station No. 7. Unfortunately, frequent and sometimes heavy rain have caused a number of delays. During the week of March 10th, dirt work was able to begin and the building footprint became more evident on the lot.
During the week of March 17th, the contractor was able to begin digging and pouring the footings.
During the week of March 24th, the contractor was able to begin the setting up the forms for the foundation walls.
During the week of March 31st, the contractor will try and finish the foundation walls and begin preparing the site to install some of the plumbing system and eventually prepare to pour the floor. Again, Missouri spring weather has brought several days of rain and again slowed the construction process.
