What happens if a dog or cat bites a person?
in the City, the animal shall be impounded by Animal Control or with a veterinarian for 10 days for observation
in Boone County, if the animal has proof of vaccination, the animal shall be impounded on the owner's property or with a licensed veterinarian of the owner's choice for a period of 10 days
In Boone County, unvaccinated animals must be impounded for 10 days with a licensed veterinarian
cost of impoundment shall be paid by the owner
