Luckily, most adults today have never witnessed a case of diphtheria, measles, or other once-common disease now preventable by vaccines. As a result you might wonder why you or your children must receive shots for diseases that do not seem to exist. Because there can be a lot of confusion and misinformation about vaccines, the Columbia/Boone County Department of Public Health and Human Services has information available on the immunizations we can provide you. The Columbia/Boone County Department of Public Health and Human Services offers the following immunizations:

• routine childhood immunizations
• Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis A/B Combination Vaccine
• Meningococcal Vaccine
• MMR Vaccine - Measles, Mumps, and Rubella
• HPV (Human Papillomavirus) Vaccine- Cervical Cancer Vaccine
• Polio Vaccine
• Pneumonia (Pneumococcal) Vaccine
• Tetanus/Diphtheria (Td) Vaccine
• Varicella Vaccine - Chickenpox
• Influenza Flu Vaccine

Besides the immunizations listed above, we also offer tuberculosis testing.

How much do immunizations cost?

There is a small fee attached to immunizations. However, no one will be turned away for the inability to pay.

Do I have to make an appointment?

Regular walk-in vaccinations are available every weekday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. For immigration purposes, please schedule an appointment.
