Health Education and Risk Reduction (HERR)

The Columbia/ Boone County Health Department will provide HIV/STD prevention speakers and material support to community organizations, schools, businesses, religious and governmental institutions in North - Central Missouri. These services are provided with funding and support from the Centers for Disease Control and the State of Missouri Section for STD/HIV Prevention and Care Services, with input from the North Central Missouri Community Advisory Group.

Clipart image of a red ribbon.To request a speaker, technical assistance with a prevention program, or to request supplies such as brochures, condoms, prevention videos etc., e-mail us or call the HERR specialist Thel Sargent, or Regional Planner Betsy Smith, at 573-874-7355.

County and city health departments may be eligible to receive condoms and some literature as well as HIV phlebotomy supplies from the State Department of Health and should first contact them, at (800) 359 6259.
