January 2004 meeting
of the North Central
Community Advisory Group

The community planning process for the prevention of HIV and STDs within the various States was initiated by the Centers for Disease Control in 1994. A recent change in structure of the Community Planning process has led to the renaming of the Regional Community Planning Groups to Regional Advisory Groups to the State Community Planning Group. Public meetings to plan prevention activities and prioritize the use of HIV and STD prevention resources for the counties of the North Central Missouri Region are held from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM on the first Tuesday of every month. Usually the meetings take place at the offices of RAIN, and at the NE District Health Office in Macon (Jointly through conference call), but meeting times and places are subject to change. The RAIN offices are at 4250 E Broadway (a mile East of Highway 63 in the strip mall) We need your input and help in the effort to prevent HIV infections in Mid Missouri. Come to the next meeting: Great food, nice people and a chance to do some good...what a deal!

You may E mail us or call the North Central Missouri Regional HIV/STD Prevention Planner, Betsy Smith, at (573) 874 7356 for information on the next meeting or for help with any questions you may have on the Community Planning process.
