Emergency and Bio-terrorism Preparedness

The Columbia/ Boone County Health Department is an integral part of Federal, State and local planning initiatives to prepare for man-made and natural disasters.  In the event of a nuclear, chemical, or biological attack; or an accidental or natural occurrence, the Health Department serves key functions in the detection and investigation of the incident and in assisting and protecting those affected.
