The City of Columbia is committed to providing public health services that prevent epidemics and the spread of disease, protect against environmental hazards, promote healthy behaviors, prevent injuries and illness, assure the quality and accessibility of health services, monitor the health of the population, provide social services and promote and protect civil rights.

Rural Health Screening Clinics

After an assessment of the utilization of our rural health services and careful consideration, we discontinued our monthly Rural Health Screening Clinics in April. Residents are always encouraged to visit our office at 1005 West Worley in Columbia to continue receiving the services provided at the rural health clinics.

We will continue to work with rural community leaders to protect the health of residents. Our nurses will continue to offer community flu vaccine clinics in the fall, work with area school nurses to identify and stop the spread of disease and hold school-based vaccination clinics for area children. We are committed to finding ways to extend a number of other public health services to our rural communities.
