You need an operating permit from the health dept.

For-profit

You need an operating permit from the health dept and a City of Columbia business license. The business license office is located at 701 E Broadway and can be reached M-F from 8 am – 5 pm at 573-874-7378.

My event lasts:

1-3 days

Your operating permit will cost $30.

4-14 days

Your operating permit will cost $60.

Before my event

You can pay with cash, check or money order (payable to “City of Columbia”) at the health department – 1005 West Worley in Columbia.

The day of my event

You can pay by check or money order (payable to “City of Columbia”) to the inspector on-site.
