The City of Columbia is committed to providing public health services that prevent epidemics and the spread of disease, protect against environmental hazards, promote healthy behaviors, prevent injuries and illness, assure the quality and accessibility of health services, monitor the health of the population, provide social services and promote and protect civil rights.

If you would like to be notified prior to any Anvil® spraying in Columbia, please complete the form below. This is NOT a form to request spraying in your neighborhood. The Health Department sprays selected Parks and the MKT trail weekly. Other than these specific areas, the Health Department currently only sprays areas with confirmed human cases of West Nile virus. In the instance of a confirmed human West Nile case, Anvil® is sprayed within a .5 mile radius of the likely exposure.

City of Columbia policy states that the Health Department will spray on the MKT Trial and Bear Creek Trail on Thursday or Friday mornings from 4 am - 8 am, dependent on weather. The MKT Trail is sprayed from Providence Road to McBaine. The Bear Creek Trail is sprayed from Oakland Junior High to Cosmo Park.
