The City of Columbia and Boone County contract with organizations to provide a wide range of social services to citizens of Columbia and Boone County. As a significant factor in the allocation of funding for these services, the City/County utilize information from independent evaluations of the capacity of organizations propsoing to enter purchase of service agreements with the City/County . Therefore, the goals of the evaluation are to:
Provider capcity evaluations are conducted on site with each prospective provider and consist of a combination of self-reporting tools as well as the evaluator's observations of infrastructure, policies, procedures, and practices. A standardized instrument is utilized in order to conduct each provider capacity evaluation.
The evaluation is intended to assess the providers’ capacity in the following areas:
Evaluations are valid for a period of three years. Therefore, if an organization has completed an evaluation in the two years prior to submitting a proposal, that organization is not required to participate in the evaluation process at that time.
