This year the Columbia/Boone County Department of Public Health and Human Services will host a series of healthy cooking classes. Funded by a grant from the Missouri Foundation for Health, “Columbia Cooks” will offer exciting new ways to shop, cook, and eat healthy in the new year.
Guest chefs will focus on a variety of approaches including: using local markets and produce, learning simple recipes, cooking with children, and preparing meals for singles and couples. The audience will have the opportunity to meet the Chef, ask questions, sample foods, and win door prizes.
All events are free and open to the public however seats are limited. Interested persons will need to register by contacting the health department.
