Fifty Plus Program

Columbia Parks and Recreation's 50 Plus Program offers a wide variety of recreational opportunities for those 50 years and older to include aerobics, ceramics, day trips in Parks and Recreation vehicles, a variety of activities, the Older American Klub and Oak Tours.

The Older American Klub social activities are crafts, bingo, dances, music, social clubs and special activities.

OAK Tours is organized for active persons who like to travel on one-day, overnight and long distance trips by motorcoach.  Separate newsletters are mailed to members of both groups.

The 50 Plus Program is located in the Parkade Community Center.  This inviting area includes a large craft and ceramics room, multi purpose rooms for dances and other activities, a pool room and offices.

The Older American Klub (OAK)

Organized in 1969, The Older American Klub (OAK) gives individuals 50 and better, a place to share common interests and enjoy their retirement years.  OAK is for people who are active and enjoy having fun.  "I don't know what I would do if I couldn't come to Parkade and do ceramics," said OAK member Roxy Grant.  "It's a great place to go and see people."
