The Mayor's Council on Physical Fitness and Health is hosting Columbia's fourth annual "Happy New U" fitness event on January 1, 2012. Held at Columbia's Activity & Recreation Center (ARC) from 10:00 am-1:00 pm, this FREE community event will have many of Columbia's fitness experts conducting mini-workouts and demonstrations to show the variety of exercise options that are available in our city. Our goal with this event is to help Columbians get a jump start on New Year's resolutions, get moving and to stay moving longer by connecting them with local fitness options and professionals that will be the best match for them. Previous events have annually attracted over 200 people to kick off their New Year with a renewed commitment to health and fitness.
