Parks and Recreation manages four outdoor and two indoor pools to serve the citizens of Columbia.

Note: All facilities are subject to early closings if low attendance (10 patrons or less in a two hour period), weather warrants, or if reserved for a special program. All outdoor facilities will remain closed whenever projected high temperatures for the day are below 75 degrees.

Little Swimmers Playtime

Come enjoy the play structure and zero depth area at Albert-Oakland Family Aquatic Center or come to Little Mates Cove and enjoy the kiddie water park during a time specifically reserved for little ones and an adult playmate. Daily admission fee is required for all participants which includes all little ones and their adult playmates. This activity is for ages 10 and under with an adult (16 years or older).

Tuesdays are FREE for Aquatic Season Pass Holders!

Albert-Oakland Family Aquatic Center

Boy / Girl Scout Day

Location: Hickman Indoor Pool, Hickman High School, 1104 N. Providence Road

Attention all scouts! Hickman Pool will be hosting a day just for you. Activities will include 5 stations featuring a variety of water safety topics and fun games. All groups must pre register. If you are registering for a troop, please add each child to your household to include them on the class roster.

Inner Tube Water Polo

Drop in for a fun night of Inner tube water polo. Teams will consist of 5 players and one goalie. Participants will have the opportunity to play water polo without having to tread water or swim for long periods of time. Although the inner tube takes away the need for extreme strength and endurance it adds an element of fun and don't be surprised if you're still exhausted by nights end.

"School's Out" One Day Camp

The ARC will be offering one day camps on days Columbia Public Schools are closed for Grades K-5. Activities will include swimming, sports, crafts and games. Enrollment is limited so sign up early. NOTE: Each child should bring a sack lunch, swimsuit, and towel. Children may be dropped off at the ARC as early as 7:45am and must be picked up by 5:15pm. Day Care Tax ID# 436-00-0810.

ARC Water Zone

Camp Adventure Reunion Swim Party

Location: ARC
Join us for a reunion with your friends from Camp Adventure. We will play a few camp games in the gym followed by swimming. Pre-registration required by the Wednesday before event.

Mary Goldstein Water Safety Day

Jump start to a staff summer in and around the water! This clinic will feature four stations to reinforce safe habits, skills and fun water games. Registration required, as space is limited.

Pooch Plunge

Finish off the 'dog days' of summer at Albert-Oakland Family Aquatic Center. The pool (sorry no slides) is open for dogs and must be accompanied by an adult! DOGS SWIM ONLY! Owners are responsible for cleaning up any accidents; dog and owner must be pre-registered to participate. Friendly dogs only!

Adult Lap Swim Only

This is a time for adults (16 and older) to enjoy lap swimming or water walking outside in the fresh summer air at Albert-Oakland Family Aquatic Center. Lap swimming takes place during Little Swimmers, but in a separate pool.

Note: Two lap lanes during swim lessons will be reserved for lap swimmers.
