In 1964 Paul and Marjorie Albert donated a 20 acre tract to the City of Columbia for parks and recreational purposes. The tract was donated as a memorial to C.M. Albert. As a condition of the donation, the 20-acre park parcel was to be named C. M. Albert Memorial Park. This 20-acre park resides in the southern portion of Albert-Oakland Park.
C. M. Albert Memorial Park can be accessed from Parker Street from the south, from Bear Creek Trail from the west, and by the hard-surface trail in Albert-Oakland Park from the north.
