- Upon the death of F. Garland Russell in April
1999, the City of Columbia received his donation
of approximately 90 acres in southwest Columbia.
The family farm had been originally purchased by
Francis T. Russell, a Union officer during the
Civil War, and multiple generations of the Russell
family had grown up on the farm.
- The property has been surveyed by City staff
in order to determine property boundaries, accounting
for various flags and markings currently visible.
- Four master plan options have been developed
for this property. Click
here for information regarding the master planning
of this property.
