Project Description: Renovation of the pool shell, plumbing, and mechanical systems and refurbishing of the water slide. Modification of the deep end to allow for more shallow water and a installation of a climbing wall. Bathhouse improvements, including structural improvements to the basement pump room, replacement of the stair well, bathhouse floor covering, and other improvements as funding allows.

Project Description: Replace and enlarge existing asphalt basketball courts with concrete courts, creating two high quality, college regulation-size courts (94' x 50') with a four foot concrete apron. Construction of concrete pads to host player benches, scorekeeper tables, spectator bleachers, and park sidewalk improvements. Replace chain link fence along Rogers Street with two-rail estate fencing. Electrical improvements, including additional electrical outlets for the two basketball courts and small shelter and installation of conduit to allow for future scoreboards. Basketball court improvements to be completed first, with other improvements to follow as funding allows. Concrete and fence work to be completed by contract labor. Electrical improvements to be accomplished with park force account labor.
Project Status: Completed. (Other sidewalk improvements to be accomplished in conjunction with the Douglass Sprayround project.) A dedication ceremony was held on June 16, 2007 in conjunction with the completion of the pool renovation project.
