Flat Branch Park is located in the downtown area of Columbia, Missouri. The park provides the city's interior access to the MKT Trail and is the site for various downtown events. Flat Branch Park was developed in two phases. Phase one saw the completion of the north end of the park where Flat Branch Creek and the nearby areas were reclaimed and developed into parkland. This phase included construction of a gazebo and multiple seating areas. Phase two is complete and was dedicated May 3, 2008. This area from Locust Street south along Flat Branch Creek to Elm Street includes a sprayground, children's playground and outdoor amphitheatre. Multiple seating areas and sculptured art pieces are also located here. Currently benches are available for donation. Sites are indicated on the map below with yellow numbered circles. Donation price for bench and zinc plaque is $2,000. |
