Interested Parties Meeting: Held on the park site on June 16, 2004.
Project Description: Acquire adjacent Lot 88. Construct a cul-de-sac at the west end of Manhasset Drive. Develop neighborhood park, including, small shelter, half basketball court, gravel trail, playground, pond, two rain gardens, and sidewalks. Earthwork, base trail construction, asphalting of the basketball court, and playground installation were contracted. All other work accomplished with force account labor.
Project Notes: In order to save several large trees, Council approved the purchase of .26-acre Lot 88 adjacent to the park, for construction of the cul-de-sac. Park development included the rough grading of the proposed Louisville Road extension on the west boundary of the park. Louisville Road extension on the west boundary of the park was completed in 2007.
Project Status: Project completed. Park dedication held on June 14, 2008.
