Project Notes: Council approved project June 6, 2011. Architect and engineering services (valued at $77,000) were donated to do the detailed construction plans. The Maplewood Barn Community Theater presented the City with a $60,000 donation check at the August 15, 2011 Council Meeting to help fund the project. A groundbreaking ceremony was held on July 30, 2011 at the last Maplewood Barn Community Theater performance to be held at Nifong Park before the re-construction of the barn. (The theater group moved to Stephens Amphitheater to finish out the season.)
Project Status: The barn construction is completed. Dedication was held May 16, 2012.
