About Paquin Park

Paquin Park is a small neighborhood park located between Lee Elementary School and Paquin Tower.  The park contains a small non-reservable shelter, half basketball court, shuffleball court, concrete game tables (ping-pong, chess, and checkers), and raised garden beds that can only be used by Paquin residents.

Year Land Acquired: 1974

Purchase Price: $94,000

Dedication Date: May 21, 1978

The initial park development was funded by the City of Columbia Public Improvement Fund and Columbia Housing Authority – H.U.D. Design and construction were completed by Columbia Parks and Recreation utilizing labor assistance through the Comprehensive Education and Training Act Public Service Employment Program.

The park was dedicated on May 21, 1978.
