Visitors may wander around the grounds of the historic Maplewood Farm site or choose to walk the 1.3 miles of trail to explore the natural wooded area of the park. Other amenities of Nifong Park include a lake and an animal farm viewing area. Maplewood Home, built in 1877, has been preserved as a historic structure and contains exhibits of many of the original family possessions. This home was entered on the National Register of Historic Places by the U.S. Department of the Interior in 1979. Nifong Park is located in southeast Columbia at the intersection of Ponderosa and Nifong Boulevard.
