**NOTICE OF REVISION**

NOTICE FOR PUBLIC COMMENT AND HEARING
FISCAL YEAR 2012 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ACTION PLAN

**The City of Columbia is noting an omission from the first draft of the FY 2012 Action Plan.  The omission is listed below under FY 2012 HOME Program funding as “Rental Housing Production.”  Also included is a revision to the funding amount listed below under the FY 2012 CDBG Program funding for “Neighborhood Response Team Area Code Enforcement”. 

The Columbia City Council will hold a public hearing on October 17, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the New City Hall Building, 701 E. Broadway, to consider the City’s 2012 Annual Action Plan.  Copies of the draft document are available at the Community Development Department, 5th Floor of the New City Hall Building, 701 E. Broadway, and at the Daniel Boone Regional Library.  Following the hearing, public comments will be accepted until 5:00 P.M. November 7, 2011.  The final document will be submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for approval on November 10, 2011, along with public comment received and responses to those comments.  Please direct questions and/or comments to the Community Development Department at the address listed above or e-mail: planning@gocolumbiamo.com.

The Community Development Action Plan is prepared to meet the needs, priorities, objectives, and implementation strategies as are outlined in the City’s Consolidated Plan document for the expenditure of funds from the Department of Housing and Urban Development in the City of Columbia for calendar years 2010 through 2014.  Funds expected to be received by the City from HUD during the 2012 Plan Year are anticipated to include approximately $770,000 of Community Development Block Grant funding and $575,000 of HOME Investment Partnership Act Funding.  Proposed CDBG and HOME activities for the 2012 plan period are listed below.
