                                                                   NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

            AMENDMENT TO THE 2011 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ACTION PLAN

The City of Columbia will hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 18, 2011, in the Council Chambers of the new City Hall, 701 East Broadway.  The purpose of this public hearing is to receive citizen input on a proposed amendment to the City’s Action Plan for FY 2011.  The Action Plan was originally approved by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) on January 27, 2011.  The City of Columbia amends its Action Plan whenever it removes a project described in the approved Consolidated Plan, adds a project not previously approved, or substantially changes the purpose, scope, location or beneficiaries of a project.  The proposed amendment results from the availability of previous years funding and a change to adjust for actual vs. estimated HUD funding.  Changes in funding for the CDBG and HOME Programs include:

The proposed Action Plan amendment will be available for review and comment at the Department of Planning and Development, 5th Floor, Daniel Boone Building, 701 E.
