The city of Columbia, Boone County and Regional Economic Development, Inc. (REDI)
announced that IBM has selected this Columbia to locate a technology service delivery center that
will employ up to 800 technical professionals. The job creation initiative, dubbed "Project Tiger," represents a public/private partnership between the city, county, state, private business and the region's colleges and
universities. IBM will begin hiring employees for the new center during the summer of 2010.
