Report Improperly Placed Materials

The Columbia City Council passed an ordinance to collect and charge an additional collection fee for trash, recyclables, and yard waste improperly placed curbside prior to 4 p.m. on the day preceding normal collection. The special pickup fee increases with repeat offenses. The fee is added to the monthly utility statement for that address and becomes the responsibility of the account holder or property owner.

Residents may report improperly placed materials violations electronically. Please complete the form below and submit. Violations reported during normal working hours will be handled on the day they are received. Violations reported after working hours will be handled on the next business day.
