Neighbors on the Go 2013
Neighbors On The Go
is a GetAbout Columbia initiative. Getabout Columbia is designed to encourage each of us to think differently about how we get about town, and to experience the
health and economic benefits of walking or biking in our community
With the Greenbriar Neighbors on the Go program, we want to give you and your neighbors all the information and tools you'll need to get around the community by foot or bike. In addition to miles and miles of on-street bicycle infrastructure, Columbia also has over 25 miles of destination trails with more in the works. The MKT, MU Recreation and Hinkson Trails can all be easily accessed from the Greenbriar Connector. The Columbia trail system also has a plethora of connections to various roadways that lead to popular shopping and landmark destinations, restaurants and neighborhoods.
Sign up today and start receiving information regarding FREE bicycle education - including maintenance and safe cycling skills - and trail/on-road rides. It's all happening in your neighborhood!
Funding for GetAbout Columbia is provided by the Federal Highway Administration's Non-Motorized Transportation Pilot Program. As one of only four communities nationwide selected to participate in the pilot program, Columbia has received funds to help establish national standards for public awareness and willingness to use active modes of transportation.
