Parking Meter Pilot Project

A pilot project to test two different styles of parking meter systems in the downtown area is underway. The new machines accept credit cards, debit cards, pay by phone, coins and EZ Park cards. Please note an additional fee will apply for any pay by phone transaction through Park Mobile.

Two Luke II multi-space machines were tested on Ninth Street for parking from Broadway to Locust. Testing of these machines was completed and the previous machines reactivated.

Testing of IPS Group's single space meters started in late February and will end in May. The 40 single space machines are on Ninth Street from Locust Street to University Ave.

Once the testing is completed results will be discussed with the Parking Task Force, who will review options for possible changes in the downtown area.
