Free Veteran Parking Downtown

Qualified veterans can park for free at all City owned and operated parking spaces, lots and garages (excludes permit/ reserved spaces) for any veteran displaying a special license plate with a Silver Star, Purple Heart, Prisoner of War, Congressional Medal of Honor or Bronze Star. The vehicle can not weigh more than six thousand pounds.

A veteran displaying special license plates issued under section 301.145, 301.443, 301.451 or 301.456 RSMo., or a veteran who is a Bronze Star recipient who displays a placard issued by the director of revenue under section 304.725 RSMo., may park a motor vehicle, weighing not more than six thousand (6,000) pounds gross weight, without charge, in any metered parking space. This subsection does not exempt a vehicle displaying the special license plates or placard from complying with other city parking regulations.
