Recycling Batteries

Auto batteries, button batteries or rechargeable batteries may be taken to the City's Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility for recycling on the first and third Saturdays of the month, April through November, 8 am to noon. Alkaline batteries are not recyclable and may be discarded in the trash. When the Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility is closed for the season (December - March), auto batteries may be taken to Battery Man for recycling at 1412 Wyoming Avenue. Button batteries or rechargeable batteries may be taken to Batteries Plus, 805 E. Nifong.
