The purpose of the Environmental Services and Stormwater Management Division is to protect the public from rapidly flowing water or flash floods, minimize losses and property damage resulting from uncontrolled storm water run off, assure the movement of emergency vehicles during storm periods, and establish requirements for construction of stormwater management facilities in newly developed areas.
