Note - The City of Columbia defines streets as passable, that although the road may still be snow packed, at least one travel lane is accessible
for a front wheel drive vehicle at speeds and driving conditions below the normal posted speed limits. Your vehicles condition and your
driving skills also determine your ability to navigate roads defined as passable.

First and Secondary priority streets:

  • FIRST PRIORITY -   major city streets for public safety needs. (ex: Broadway, Green Meadows Road, Vandiver)
  • SECOND PRIORITY streets heavily traveled city collector streets, public safety, school and
city bus routes as well as streets abutting schools, hospitals and other critical areas. (ex: Derby Ridge Drive)

  • CITY PRIORITY AREA - Downtown streets (north - south) and "pilot subdivisions'
