The Traffic Division fabricates, installs and maintains approximately 20,000 traffic control and street name signs, paints 1,200,000 feet of pavement striping, paints curbs, crosswalks, and symbols, and provides traffic signal maintenance for over 40 intersections. Traffic signals are programmed to minimize vehicle delay and emissions. Solar powered school zone display and warning devices are also implemented. Staff oversee neighborhood traffic programs and solutions for traffic calming in residential areas.
