COLUMBIA, MO (October 18, 2010) - Columbia Public Works Department Director John Glascock announced today that Andrew Schneider has been named the new manager of Columbia Regional Airport.
Schneider will direct the operations of the Columbia Regional Airport, including safety and facility maintenance, ensure compliance with standards set forth by the Federal Aviation Administration, prepare long-range plans and policies for development and construction at the airport, work with consultants, tenants, airlines and city and county departments, and negotiate for continued and improved airline services.
Schneider has been the airport manager at Jamestown, N.D., since April 2008. “Andrews’ experience with commercial and general aviation services will help us continue to add benefit to the community and, we hope, enhance our air service” said Glascock. “His experience working with Delta Air Lines through the Essential Air Service program for Jamestown, plus going through terminal renovations at their airport, made him a good fit for Columbia Regional.”
Schneider will begin his new duties on Nov. 8 at a salary of $62,000 annually.
