Energy Expo set for Saturday

COLUMBIA, MO (October 29, 2010) - Area utility companies will hold an Energy Efficiency Expo this Saturday, Oct. 30, from noon to 5 p.m. at the Boone County Fairgrounds Multipurpose Building to help customers save money on their utility bills. There will be informational booths from energy-efficient product vendors. Experts in the field will give presentations throughout the afternoon on everything from sealing air leaks to proper insulation levels. The first 200 attendees will receive a goody bag of energy-efficient items. Door prizes will be awarded throughout the afternoon. Free hotdogs, popcorn and beverages will also be available.

4 p.m. - Energy Efficient Landscaping
