Landfill operating hours to change in January

COLUMBIA, MO (December 21, 2010) - Effective Jan. 3, the city of Columbia landfill will change its hours of operation to Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturdays, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Staff will evaluate the change of hours in March to ensure minimal customer impact and monitor savings and operational improvements. Questions regarding the operating hours can be directed to the city landfill at (573) 474-9145. The landfill is located at 5700 Peabody Road.
