City publishes New Year’s holiday schedule

COLUMBIA, MO (December 27, 2010) - City offices will be closed Friday, Dec. 31, in observance of the New Year’s holiday. Residential refuse and curbside recycling collection will be made on Dec. 31 and the landfill will be open. Columbia Transit will operate on its normal schedule on Friday, Dec. 31, and parking meters will be enforced. The landfill will be closed Jan. 1 and parking meters will not be enforced. Columbia Transit will not be operating on Saturday, Jan. 1.

Columbia Transit will provide free shuttle service for New Year’s Eve First Night venues on Friday, Dec. 31. Shuttles will run in the downtown area from 6:30 p.m. until 12:30 a.m.
