Chip seal maintenance July 19-23

COLUMBIA, MO (July 16, 2010) - The city of Columbia Public Works Department announces that from Monday, July 19, through Friday, July 23, 7 a.m.- 3:30 p.m., the Street Division will perform chip seal maintenance on the following streets, weather permitting:
• Madrid Lane, from El Cortez Drive to Sieville Avenue
• McBaine Avenue, from Worley Street to Broadway
• Thilly Avenue, from Stewart to south end
• Bernadette, from Worley Street to Ash Street
• Sappington, from Broadway to Russell Boulevard
• Manor Court, from Manor Drive to south end
• Bayonne Court, from Hulen Drive to south end
• Ellis Court, from Mumford to east end
• Mumford Drive, from Faurot Drive to north end
• Defoe Drive, from Scott Boulevard to Faurot Drive
• Plymouth Drive, from Yorktown Drive to south end
• Yorktown Drive, from Fairview to Westport
• Cambridge Drive, from Rollins Road to Yorktown
• English Drive, from Cunningham Road to Jake Lane
• Bradshaw Avenue, from Bray Avenue to Alsup Drive
• Primrose Drive, from Stadium Boulevard to Sunflower Street
• Lilac Drive, from Garden Drive to Rose Drive
• Sondra Avenue, from Garth Avenue to Parkade Boulevard
• Sondra Avenue, from Jackson Street to Kathy Drive
• Jackson Street, from Texas Avenue to Creasy Springs Road
• Gipson Street, from Garth Avenue to Bearcreek Drive
• Thurman Street, from Garth Avenue to Bearcreek Drive
• Parklawn Court, from Texas Avenue to south end
• Phyllis Avenue, from Garth Avenue to Parkade Boulevard

This work will result in temporary lane restrictions on the streets listed above. The work should be completed and the streets fully reopened each day, weather permitting. Parking will be restricted on each street during this period. Motorists and pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme caution when in the construction area and use an alternate route whenever possible.
