Advancing Renewables in the Midwest conference
July 15, 2010, from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
University of Missouri – Columbia campus
(COLUMBIA, MO) – There has been talk of renewable energy for years and funding of projects has increased, but where do we stand today? Speakers from the Department of Energy, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources and other national agencies will present the latest information at the Advancing Renewables in the Midwest conference. Funding, legislative updates, economic impacts, new renewable projects and energy efficiency will be covered at the event.
The cost of the conference is $75 for the general public and $100 for energy professionals. Registration can be accomplished online at AdvancingRenewables.org or by calling (573) 882-4349 or (866) 682-6663. A list of speakers and topics can also be found on the website. Reporters covering the event for a story need to check in at the registration desk the day of the conference.
The fifth annual Advancing Renewables in the Midwest conference is hosted by Columbia Water & Light, the University of Missouri’s Department of Soil, Environmental and Atmospheric Sciences and the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. Sponsors for the event are Midwest Power Solutions, Tradewind Energy, Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance, Iberdola and the Wind Capital Group.
