The 107 FastCAT, Columbia Transit's express loop around The District, MU and Stephens campuses, will offer unlimited free rides during the True/False Film Festival, Feb. 28-Mar. 3. A customized True/False Loop will be offered to get festival-goers from one venue to the next exciting film or event. The route will run until 2:30am Thursday through Saturday nights and until midnight, Sunday.
During the festival, FastCAT will run one bus on its regular route at a 30 minute headway and one bus on the True/False Loop at a ten minute headway. The True/False Loop schedule runs from 3pm to 2:30am on Thursday, 9am-2:30am Friday and Saturday and 9am to midnight on Sunday of the festival. Prior to the start of the festival on each day, FastCAT will run both buses on the normal schedule with a 15 minute headway.
The True/False FastCAT Loop will have six stops servicing all of the film venues, however, riders can flag the bus down anywhere along the route. Bus operators will stop at the closest safe area. Riders can track the bus in real-time and locate themselves on the same map at RideFastCAT.com or by downloading the free FastCAT app for iPhones or Android smart phones. Starting Thursday, there will be a special section on the site and app to track the True/False Loop.
Columbia Transit urges pedestrians to be careful on sidewalks and in alleys due to the wet, slushy and snow-covered conditions left behind by the recent weather events. Special care should be taken when boarding and alighting the bus. Buses lower to make boarding easier, but riders should use the handrails and take their time as needed.
A map of the FastCAT- True/False Loop is attached.
